The add-on

A fusion posts for tonight, and the rep can't make it. One call to a specialist — not a call center — and coverage is confirmed on the spot.

The emergency

Spine trauma and urgent add-on instrumentation don't check the call schedule. Neither does the Friday-afternoon cranial add-on that needs a plan built and verified before the patient is pinned. Neither do we — 100+ after-hours and emergency cases covered, holidays included.

On-demand navigation coverage

Availability is the product. A clinical navigation specialist on-site in under two hours, guaranteed, spinal or cranial. Two hours is the ceiling, not the target. Our specialists live and work across the region, not at the far end of a sales territory, so we usually arrive well inside that window. Nights, weekends, and holidays are inside the service, not exceptions to it.

System-agnostic imaging expertise

Most navigation is only as good as the imaging behind it — and where machine-vision registration replaces the intraoperative scan entirely, as on 7D, we run that workflow too. Our specialists are fluent across the major intraoperative 3D systems and pre-op image sets, spinal and cranial alike.

Surgeons keep coming back.

Nobody was assigned to us. Every surgeon chose us, and none has stopped. Our first two surgeons remain our highest-volume users, and once trust is established, surgeons hand us the difficult slots as well.

A—01Who We Are

Navigation specialists.
Not equipment operators.

New Era Surgical brings deep expertise across spinal and cranial navigation, rapid-response coverage, and a standard of reliability you can schedule around.

/ Story

Born in San Diego.
Built for the region.

New Era Surgical was founded to solve a problem every navigated OR knows, spinal and cranial alike: coverage that arrives late, arrives stretched thin, or never arrives at all. We built a team of dedicated clinical navigation specialists — navigation-only, by design — and put them on call around the clock.

Today we cover hospitals across Southern California, working alongside surgical teams at major networks including Scripps Health and UC San Diego Health, Because our specialists are based in the region, response times are measured in hours, not notice windows.

Navigation is all we do.
That's the point.

We don't sell implants, and we don't split attention across a sales territory. Pure navigation focus means fewer surprises mid-case and better answers when a case turns — spinal and cranial, on every major platform.

B—03Common Questions
Q.01

How fast can you be in our OR?

+
Same-day and emergency requests reach a specialist directly, with no call routing, and we are on-site in under two hours anywhere in our Southern California coverage area, any hour, any day of the year. Two hours is the guaranteed maximum, not the target: our specialists are based throughout the region, so we are usually on-site well inside that window.
Q.02

Do you replace our implant reps?

+
No — we're implant-vendor agnostic and cover the navigation side of the case regardless of which implant system is used. Your reps do what they do best; we make sure navigation is never the reason a case waits.
Q.03

Which platforms do you cover?

+
Medtronic StealthStation and Mazor X Stealth Edition, Brainlab Curve and Kick (cranial and spine), and 7D Surgical — with 3D imaging expertise across the O-arm, Ziehm Vision RFD 3D, Brainlab Airo, and GE OEC 3D. Not currently covered: Globus ExcelsiusGPS and Stryker Q Guidance. If your hospital runs a platform not on this list, ask — we will tell you honestly whether we cover it today.
Q.04

How does credentialing work?

+
Our specialists complete your hospital's full vendor credentialing — insurance certificates, immunization records, background screening, and OR access requirements — with documentation submitted within 5 business days and first cases typically covered within 30 days of agreement.
Q.05

Are you insured and compliant?

+
We carry professional and general liability at $1M per occurrence and $3M aggregate, plus workers' compensation. We execute HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, screen all personnel against the OIG and GSA exclusion lists, and perform all services under hospital oversight consistent with Title 22. Your facility can be named as an additional insured.
Q.06

How is coverage billed?

+
Per case, in arrears — no retainer, no capital outlay, no minimum-volume commitment. You're invoiced only for cases we cover, and our service levels are written into the agreement.
